Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Rifle Animal Shelter. Volunteers play a vital role in helping the hundreds of animals that pass through our door! Volunteers work closely with the shelter staff and provide the extra man and woman-power needed to help us accomplish our life saving mission and make sure every animal receives the care they deserve. Volunteering at Rifle Animal Shelter will enrich your life and improve the lives of the animals in our care. Call and lend a helping hand TODAY!
Please consider joining our team of friendly volunteers. You, too, will enjoy the experience! Click here for more information on different volunteer positions.
Basic Information for Volunteers
We ask for at least a month commitment of a minimum of 2 hours every two weeks if you are volunteering at the shelter with cleaning or the animals.
Young people over the age of 16 are welcome to volunteer at the shelter without an adult after completing the paper work with their parent or guardian. Younger animal lovers will need a parent or guardian with them at all times while they volunteer. An adult can work with up to two children.
We ask that you make an attempt to schedule your volunteer hours on a regular basis so we can count on your help.
