Who knew that building a new shelter would be so complicated? I always thought you raise a little money, get a contractor and boom you had a much needed new animal shelter. Well, I was wrong! The “little money” ha, that is funny. It is a complicated process to raise the money, find an architect, raise some more money, find a contractor and raise a lot more money. Where is Rifle Animal Shelter in this process? We are at the point we have an architect on board who has been wonderful to work with Land and Shelter Architecture and Planning and now we need to raise money to pay for the architect and building plans. We are calling this phase of the project the TRAIL BLAZER CAMPAIGN. Our goal is to get 1000 people or businesses to donate $100 or more to raise $100,000 to help pay for these plans. We are about 20% of that goal, but we need your help in raising the rest of this money. If you haven’t already made a donation, we would love for you to be one of our TRAIL BLAZERS. If you have made a donation, could you please ask someone else to be a TRAIL BLAZER too?
I know a lot of you have been to our current shelter and have probably said to yourself, how do they do it? I think our staff are miracle workers to have to try and perform in that small of a space and having a bigger, better and more efficient place to work is our goal. Please help our staff, our animals and the rest of the community by donating to our TRAIL BLAZER CAMPAIGN.
